Vancouver campus opens first student-designed, 'carbon-minimal' building in Canada

Third Space Commons, located on 6363 Biological Sciences Road in Vancouver, is one of Canada’s first institutional spaces designed to be near-zero embodied carbon. It was designed and constructed by Third Quadrant Design, an interdisciplinary team of UBC students. The team was advised by assistant professor of architecture and landscape architecture and Climate Change HEAL cluster member Dr. Adam Rysanek.
